The Mechwarrior
........Becoming a mechwarrior is more than just learning to pilot and target. It is about adopting a philosophy shared by all true mechwarriors. A mechwarrior fights for the joy of the fight. He or she does not fight merely for victory - rather for the honor in achieving it. If it takes a warrior 100 tons of mech to defeat a 35 ton mech, then no honor is won. The mechwarrior's spirit is indomitable. A mechwarrior never gives up, or cries about why an enemy defeated him. If a victor, he treats his victim with respect. If defeated he treats his enemy with respect also, and in doing so he brings honor to himself and his clan. A mechwarrior learns from every defeat and trains hard for the next fight.
....... It is the warrior's heart that wins a battle. Not the mech. Remember this above all else. Any odds can be overcome when a mechwarrior wills it. Master your true warrior self, and in doing so you master all enemies present and future.
........Always remember your star mates in battle. Protect them at all costs and never sacrifice them for your own gain or honor.
........Always do your best. WS fights and pays lots for it's mechs. Do not waste away our equipment because you don't feel like training hard or taking the time to to learn our tactics. Waste our mechs and you will soon find yourself driving the fuel truck during battles.
.........Train regularly. A mechwarrior that does not train is not a mechwarrior at all. They are a liability to our clan. As Khan, I drive a mech every single day. It may not be long, and you may not see me all the time. But I fight every day, and you should fight often too. Train with your team mates as well and learn to use tactics and depend on each other. Together you can defeat any loner.
.........Always follow orders in combat. Never ignore your wing commander's orders, even if you disagree. If you ever expect to lead, you must first learn to follow.
